How does it work?
Nitrous Oxide (Laughing Gas)
Nitrous Oxide is one of the safest sedation available in dentistry to deal with dental anxiety and discomfort. It can be used with adults as well as children. It has a calming and comforting effect while allowing you to be in total control and awake through the procedures. Thus, you will be able to communicate well with us throughout the treatment. Additionally, it helps you to make you feel as if time passes more quickly.
Oral Sedation
Oral sedative pills can be given prior to treatment (no needle needed). You would have little or no memory of the experience when you take oral sedatives. You will be relaxed and often many of our patients fall asleep while our dentists monitor your vital signs carefully using an electronic monitoring device to ensure safety.
Often, nitrous oxide and oral sedation can be safely combined to help more anxious patients.
